The National Police Bureau is mandated to perform the following core functions:

    1. Undertake police reforms and development;
    2. Coordinate with police organizations for standardization of police practices;
    3. Collaborate with international organizations and embassies to facilitate knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and joint training initiatives;
    4. Conduct in-depth research and analysis on policing, crime, law, and order for developing evidence-based policies;
    5. Maintain national Crime and Trafficking in Persons Databases;
    6. Selection of police officers for UN peacekeeping missions;
    7. Promote gender-responsive policing to ensure inclusivity and equality in law enforcement practices;
    8. Process Cases of Police Awards (QPM/PPM);
    9. Authenticate Police Clearance Certificate for Spanish Embassy;
    10. Process NOCs for Procurement of Arms & Ammunition for LEAs.
