Dr. A. Rehman Malik was born in Sialkot on December 12, 1951. He got his secondary and intermediate education from Sialkot and did his master from Karachi University with Gold Medal. He also holds an M.Sc in Statistics and Ph.D in Criminology.During 26 years of active service as civil servant and as an officer of Federal Investigation Agency, he has held the post of Additional Director General of FIA besides heading various regional offices of the department such as Crime Zone Peshawar, Immigration, Interpol and National Security Cell. The incumbency of these positions involved formulation and implementation of strategy to be followed by the various sections of FIA and overseeing the investigation of cases of diverse nature. He had been associated with anti-terrorism and anti-money launching operations of FIA which have earned for him recognition by the international law enforcement community. He was bestowed with Sitara-e-Shujaat in 1995. Mr. Malik has experience in the field of investigation, security, telecommunications, general administration & management.                 Mr. Malik has represented Pakistan at various international conference and seminars.
